Jessica McKenzie grew up on the prairies just south of Regina Saskatchewan. She moved to Victoria ten years ago in search of a milder climate to enjoy all of her favorite outdoor activities. Jessica’s athletic background includes competitive swimming and dancing. She has received a diploma from Camosun College in Recreation Leadership which she applied to working as a lifeguard and seasonal recreation leader for children’s camps. Jessica has always had a strong desire to work in health care and is thrilled to be a Massage Therapist. Her approach to a healthy lifestyle is awareness and prevention and she strives to teach these fundamentals to her clients.

Jessica received her certification with the BC College of Massage Therapists in the fall of 2006. In addition to attending the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, she has also taken a program here in Victoria with a more holistic approach to massage, The Art of Conscious Touch. Jessica’s goal is to approach each treatment with a focused and clear mind and to properly assess each individual resulting in a balanced and rewarding treatment for her patients. She uses a variety of techniques including, but not limited to, Myofascial Release, Crainiosacral Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Passive and Active Range of Motion and Stretching as well as Traditional Swedish massage. She is skilled in treating a variety of conditions such as chronic pain syndromes, chronic stress and related conditions, arthritis, depression, repetitive strain injuries, muscle tension, ligament sprains, and pregnancy as well as neurological and circulatory conditions. As a Registered Massage Therapist Jessica provides her clients with education on injury prevention and information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
